HOA Annual Meeting and 2016 Budget

The HOA annual meeting was held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Sierra Heights Elementary. Of the 100 homes in Honey Creek, a total of 16 people attended (representing 14 households) and we received 12 proxies (7 hard copies via mail, and 5 via e-mail). HOA bylaws state that each household represents one vote. Total votes at the annual meeting = 26 . Quorum is 10% for an annual meeting, so we easily reached quorum at 26%. 

At the annual meeting, we reviewed and approved the expenses for 2015. New members of the board were elected. The proposed 2016 budget was approved, so dues will be $475 per home next year – invoices will be mailed to each homeowner mid-January.

HOA Annual Meeting

Our annual Homeowners Association meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 17^th at 7pm at Sierra Heights Elementary: 2501 Union Ave NE. We will approve the HOA budget for 2016, review neighborhood projects and activities, and will also elect new board members.  

We hope to see you there! If you're unable to attend, please mail in your proxy vote (you should have received it in your mailbox a few weeks ago with the 2016 proposed budget and the newsletter).

Our Tree Planting Party on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 was a lot of fun! Young and old came together to beautify Sierra Heights Park. Thanks to Lina Rose from King County Parks for leading this volunteer project.

Annual Picnic a Big Hit!

Honey Creek neighbors had a great time getting to know each other at the annual picnic on August 6th! Thanks, City of Renton, for cooking BBQ hamburgers and providing games for the kids. The Renton Firefighters showed up and let the kids spray the hose and climb up on the fire truck. A good time was had by all!
