News For– January Honey Creek Ridge 2013

We have had a home break in that everyone should be aware of.

I happened to be outside this evening when the police pulled up outside our home. Our neighbors located 2 doors east of Rachaels home 3524 NE 24th Ct. was broken into sometime during the last 9 days. The intruders came in from the back. If anyone has any information, or saw anything suspicious I have the e-mail of the officer handling the case. If anyone has 9 days worth of video in that area it may help. No description so far of any vehicles as of yet.
Lets try to keep an eye out for all our neighbors and if you see something strange call 911

Honey Creek Ridge update:
The large pond has now been taken over by the city to maintain. This will be a considerable savings for all of us.
The lower pond is expected to get more attention, so we can also release it to the city in 2013.
The watering system has a slight up grade this year which will decrease our water consumption.
All homeowners have been following the HOA rules when it came to painting their homes this year. Thank you, this makes a desirable place to live when all the homes are in compliance of honey creek architect rules.
Here are some CC&R’s to beware of--- (1) Parking on the street for an extended period of time (>48 hours) is not allowed.  (2) Garbage cans in view from the front of your home are not allowed. For more rules visit our website. www.honeycreekridge.blogspot.com

Landscaping: Prograss does our routine landscape maintenance.
If you have any issues please email the board at honeycreekhoa@yahoo.com
Also remember to be courteous to your neighbor and monitor for trees and shrub if they are intruding in your neighbors yard.

Homeowner dues- All homeowners did an excellent job in paying on time. This really helps us create a more accurate budget each year. Thank you

Board Membership –The Board encouraged the homeowners to attend the meeting as observers or to join the Board and/or committees.
The meetings are going to be in sequence with the bylaws and will be held from time to time.  Keep viewing our Blog for meeting times and dates. We do have a good grasp on all issues and would encourage more people to attend. We will be having 3 positions open and would like to fill them at the next yearly meeting. Any position will consist of training and mentoring for a smooth transition onto the
Board

Upcoming events: Our yearly progressive dinner party is coming please email the board if you would like to join us and having fun that evening.

Honey Creek Ridge is a community where people give their time to support one and another. The association board is all volunteers who take their time to help provide oversight to the multitude of services necessary to maintain our neighborhood's lighting, landscaping and safety. It is because they care, we can all smile when we stroll through the neighborhood and be glad we live here.

Honey Creek Ridge is a community located in the Highlands area of Renton, Washington. The first home was built in 1994 and the neighborhood of 100 single family homes was completed in 1998. Each homeowner is automatically a voting member of the Honey Creek Ridge Homeowners Association.
The Honey Creek Ridge Homeowners Association represents all of the property owners in Honey Creek Ridge. Through its Board of Directors and various committees, the Association reviews architectural aesthetics, enforces the covenants, maintains common property, and streetlights.

The Association owns 3 common properties, one open space play area and two storm water detention ponds.

A Board of Directors conducts the business of the Association at monthly meetings, which are open to all residents, and generally held in board members homes. Please contact the Association through our general email address, honeycreekhoa@yahoo.com  for specific meeting dates, locations and times. An Annual Membership Meeting is held each Fall, usually in October, at which time annual reports are published, new Directors are elected, resident input is solicited and any other business pertaining to the Honey Creek Ridge Homeowners Association is conducted.

Honey Creek Ridge Homeowners Association dues are $430 per year, and are paid annually on March 31st.  According to Honey Creek Ridge Bylaws, all residents are responsible for making timely payments.

Under Honey Creek Ridge’s is Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs), all homeowners are required to submit plans for anything done to change the outward appearance of their property. They are also required to comply with all other rules regarding homeowner property management and use. For more details, homeowners may view these and many other pertinent Honey Creek Ridge documents.  As a resident, we suggest that you take a moment to visit our website and familiarize yourself with our community, its governing rules, amenities, current happenings, committees and other general information.

Please let us know if we can be of any assistance to you while you are here in Honey Creek Ridge and welcome!

Sincerely, The Association Board of Directors
